General Scaffolding Training

Everyone who builds, tears down, or significantly changes building scaffolding has received a certain level of training/education/information (according to AFS 2013:4). In order to receive a certificate, you must pass a competence test that is administered at the conclusion of the course. For scaffolding with a working height between 2 and 9 meters, a general training is required.

Target Group

The general education is targeted to those who assemble, disassemble, or significantly change building scaffolding, between 2 and 9 meters tall. Those who lead or supervise the work must have at least the same level of training and education.

Course Information

  • Course length: 1 day 08.00 – 16.00
  • Prerequisites: Some prior knowledge is required. Participants must have some experience of building scaffolding. Participants must arrive early in order to receive important information and documents relevant to the course. Participants must have a good understanding of the Swedish language.
  • Certificate: Course participants will receive a certificate upon course completion.

Fall protection basic course / rescue

Fall protection training to safely carry out work at significant heights.

The employer is responsible for ensuring that the employee has the appropriate training for personal fall protection equipment. The employer should arrange training and practice.

The training follows the British standard BS8454:2006 Work at height and rescue.

Target Group

Everyone who works with or will work with personal fall protection equipment and is familiar with the safety requirements.

Participants must develop an increased competence in order to safely execute work where fall risk is a factor.

Course Outline

  • The content of laws and regulations regarding fall risks.
  • The different types of fall protection.
  • What personal fall protection consists of.
  • The function of the shock absorber.
  • The risks of using personal fall protection equipment.
  • The important safety factors when working at height (anchoring points, fall protection, self control, evacuation/rescue).
  • How to handle fall protection equipment and positioning equipment.
  • How to execute a rescue.
